Natural Indigo Leaves Powder - 100g
Indigo is a natural dye that is obtained from the plant Indigofera tinctoria. Indigo powder is a dye that comes from the crushed leaves of the indigo plant. It is a natural dye that can be used to colour your hair with or without henna.
It is green in appearance, and when it is soaked, it turns into a bluish black tint. It is known to be one of the oldest dyes to be used for textile dyeing, printing, and hair colouring.
Indigo is the safe bet when it comes to natural hair colouring. Indigo, when used(as top coat) with henna (as base coat), will produce a black colour dye on hair strands.
Care Instructions
Our products are all natural and do not contain any preservatives, stabilisers, anti caking agents,and fillers. They need your care and attention.
Store the products away from wet and damp places, and as soon as you receive, transfer the contents into an airtight jar(with screw lid) and use a dry spoon to scoop the product. Do not use wet spoon or wet hands.
Alternatively, you can place the product packets in a big air tight box or any big cover and secure the ends tight and transfer them .
Usage Instructions
Make a paste of indigo powder with water or blue pea flower tea, Leave the mixture for 5 to 10mins, once you see a change in color apply on hair strands and rest it for min 2hrs and rinse with plain water. Post application dont use any shampoo or hairwash powders to wash hairstrand for a min 48hrs.
To retain the dye color
Add 25% of Bhringraj powder to 75% Indigo will help the dye last long. Also repeated application after 20 to 25days initially will help retain the dye, After 3rd or 4th application use the same method once in two months.
What should be the propotion of Indigo and Henna, for obtaining different hair color dyes?
- For Black tones
Step 1 - Use 100% henna and then step 2 - 75%Indigo, 25% Bhringraj, Always use henna as base coat and Indigo as top coat to achieve black color on grey hair.
- For reddish brown
Use a 75% henna and 25% indigo mix.
- For brown tones
Use a 50% indigo and 50% henna mix.
- For dark brown tones
Use a 75% indigo and 25% henna mix.
Note : Oxidized indigo powder will not give the desired results.
