Bulk Natural Henna Powder - 2kg
Dyeing hair is the most common way to colour grey hair and has become a part of the hair care routine for most people.
Henna is the go-to ingredient for the hair colouring needs of every natural hair care enthusiast, and it's one of the oldest dye known to mankind.
Our plant-derived Henna Powder is made with shade dried Henna leaves from Rajasthan, and our powder is triple sieved to obtain a fine powder. Lawsone is the main active ingredient in henna (lawsonia inermis). When Lawsone is high, henna is considered to be of the best quality(our henna powder contains a high quantity of lawsone).
But did you know that henna can do a lot more than just colour your hair? The versatile hair care ingredient - the Henna - can be used to maintain overall hair health. Conditioning, repairing damage, and balancing pH levels, reducing dandruff, etc, are just some of the many benefits that henna offers.
Why shift to natural hair dye?
Conventional hair dye is made with harmful chemicals that are put directly on the scalp each time hair is dyed, either at home or in the salon. Harmful ingredients in hair dyes are ammonia, peroxide, Resorcinol, Sulphates, Paraphenylenediamine(PPD), etc. One common precursor is PPD, which is derived from petroleum. Because it gives a long-lasting colour that has a natural look, it's used in a lot of hair dyes.
Harmful effects of commercially available dyes are many, including skin allergies, hairloss, cancer, renal failure, respiratory problems, scalp infections, toxicity in blood, etc.

Tips for hair coloring
Natural hair colors are tricky to use, but when you know how to use them its easy as store brought ones.
Tips
- Before you start to applying henna you should know henna takes 8 to 10hrs of time to release the dye, unlike indigo which releases immedietly.
- Always wash and dry your hair and scalp before applying natural hair colors, dont use natural dyes on oily and dirty hair.
- Before you start applying, make sure that the paste is of the right consistency. It should be pudding-like, neither too dry nor too wet and runny.
- If you are using store brought commerical shampoos containing parabens, silicons etc, your hair strands will not be colored with henna or indigo.
- Dont wash your hair with shampoos post application for a minmum 72hrs, use only hairwash powders, using shampoos will not give you color.
- Applying oil after rinsing henna or indigo will not give the desired color to the hair.
- A min of 3 to 4 application cycles are required for your hair to adjust to natural colors and to hold it.
- There's always a transistion phase when you shift from chemical dying to natural dying and the color may not hold initially.
- A gap of 2 to 3weeks is advised inbetween haircoloring for the first few applications, later it can be 1 to 2 months.
- Natural dyes do stain your skin and fade away slowly. you can apply coconut oil or petroleum jelly to prevent staining.
Follow these tips to enjoy good coverage of natural hair dyes on hair strands.
